Two injured, vehicles destroyed in Akwa Ibom abattoir fracas
Operatives of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command have arrested one Louis Joseph in connection with a fracas in an abattoir in Uyo, the state capital on Thursday.
It was gathered that the fight led to the destruction of a Toyota Camry, a tricycle and motorcycle.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Odiko Mcdon, who confirmed the incident, said two injured persons were taken to a hospital for treatment.
According to the statement, which was issued in Uyo, the problem started after a disagreement over sharing of money.
“Today fight at the abattoir was caused by s disagreement between boys loyal to one Louis Joseph and Abba Mohammed over sharing of money
“It snowballed into chaos, resulting in the destruction of a Toyota Camry with the number plate, Uyy115 MJ, and burning of a tricycle and a motorcycle.
“However, the command has Louis Joseph in custody, while the duo of Abba Mohammed and Useni Abdulrahman, who were injured were taken to the hospital.
