Tito Harrison Opens Up on Health Crisis and Losing Everything but His Wife’s Love

Veteran Nollywood actor Tito Harrison has shared an emotional story of how a serious liver condition and ulcer turned his life upside down. In a recent chat on Biola Bayo’s podcast, Harrison revealed that he had to sell his house, cars, and personal belongings just to pay for treatment, eventually moving in with his mother-in-law after running out of funds.

The actor, known for his roles in classic Nigerian films, said the illness left him bedridden and broke. Despite the hardships, he found strength and comfort in the unwavering support of his wife. According to him, she was the only one who remained by his side when others walked away.

“When I was battling liver disease and chronic ulcer, my wife stayed by me when everybody else left. She’s my greatest blessing. I sold my house, car, and everything to pay the hospital bills. When I couldn’t afford rent anymore, we moved to my mother-in-law’s house. If I return to this world again, I would still marry my wife,” he said.

Harrison also expressed sadness over how some of his colleagues in Nollywood mocked his situation instead of helping. He recalled how one interview publicly shamed him for living with his wife’s mother, which hurt him deeply.

“They interviewed someone who said, ‘Tito Harrison is finished. He’s living in his wife’s mother’s house.’ I have the publication. Even if that’s true, must you say it? If you can’t help me, don’t disgrace me or destroy my reputation,” Harrison added.

His powerful message serves as a reminder of the value of true companionship and the harsh realities many face behind the glamour of fame.
