Vee Iye Slams Seyi Law Over Security Comments in Nigeria

Reality TV star and singer Vee Iye has publicly criticised comedian Seyi Law over his recent comments on Nigeria’s security situation, sparking conversation across social media.

Seyi Law made the remarks during an appearance on The Honest Bunch, where he was asked whether Nigeria is safer now compared to a decade ago. The comedian argued that the country is more secure under the current administration than in previous years.

According to him, incidents such as bomb blasts have reduced, and kidnappings are not a new problem in the country. He said the government has taken stronger action against bandits compared to past administrations and questioned when last Nigerians heard of major bomb attacks.

Reacting on her social media page, Vee strongly disagreed, describing the comments as insensitive to the realities many Nigerians face daily. She quoted part of the comedian’s statement about kidnappings and expressed concern about what she sees as a lack of empathy.

Vee said the remark reflects what she called a “desensitised Nigerian citizen” who cannot look beyond personal comfort to understand the struggles of others. Her response quickly drew reactions from fans and observers, with many debating the state of security in the country.

The exchange highlights ongoing public discussions about safety, governance, and lived experiences in Nigeria, as citizens continue to share different views on the country’s progress and challenges.
