Ruger Declares He Won’t Change His Toxic Lyrics Anytime Soon
Singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has made it clear that he has no plans to change his signature style of music. The artist, famous for his heartbreak songs, stated that he will continue singing about toxic relationships.
During a recent Instagram Live session with fans, Ruger confidently referred to himself as “the heartbreak master” and “the toxic relationship master.” He emphasized that despite criticism, he is not planning any rebranding soon.
Addressing concerns about his lyrics, Ruger explained, “I am not undergoing any rebranding anytime soon. I am the heartbreak master, the toxic relationship master, the scattered relationship master. So, you can’t change who I am.”
The singer further clarified his stance, stating that while his lyrics may seem toxic, he genuinely loves women. “If you come for my lyrics saying that I’m toxic… No, I love women. Women know that I love them. I love women with my whole heart. I’m very nice and sweet to women. Every woman I have been with knows that I am nice and sweet to them,” he said.
Ruger remains one of the most talked-about artists in the Afrobeats scene, known for his distinct style and unapologetic approach to music.
