Rema, Shallipopi, and Omah Lay Shine in EA Sports FC 25 Soundtrack

Electronic Arts Sports has unveiled the official soundtrack for EA Sports FC 25, featuring an exciting lineup of artists, including Nigerian stars Rema, Shallipopi, and Omah Lay. This year’s soundtrack celebrates the vibrant Afrobeats genre, marking a significant moment for African music on a global stage.

Rema, known for his hit single “Benin Boys” featuring Shallipopi, and Omah Lay, with his chart-topping track “Moving,” both make a notable appearance in the game’s 25th edition. This is Rema’s second feature in an EA Sports game, having previously appeared on the FIFA 21 VOLTA Football soundtrack with his 2020 track “Beamer.” For Shallipopi and Omah Lay, it’s their first time being included in an EA FC Sports game.

The EA Sports FC 25 soundtrack includes a diverse collection of 117 songs from artists around the world. This year’s edition highlights the growing global influence of Afrobeats, with Nigerian artists standing out. Rema’s collaboration with Shallipopi on “Benin Boys,” from his 2024 album “HEIS,” and Omah Lay’s “Moving” add unique flavors to the soundtrack, showcasing their talents on an international platform.

Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive and President of Music for Electronic Arts, praised the soundtrack as “a global celebration of new music that crosses borders, embraces various genres, and offers numerous surprises.” He noted that the EA Music team spent nearly a year curating this epic soundtrack to enhance the game’s experience and define the sound of the coming season.

In addition to Afrobeats, the soundtrack features a range of genres. International stars like Pa Salieu, Disclosure, Ice Spice, Central Cee, Kasabian, Moonchild Sanelly, Billie Eilish, and J Balvin contribute tracks, while the playlist also includes unreleased songs from Coldplay and Delfina Dib. The inclusion of rising talents such as Japanese drill rapper Jumadiba, as well as diverse genres like Elyanna’s Arabic-Latin pop fusion and Afro-Colombian group Kombilesa Mi’s blend of Palenque music and urban rap, reflects the soundtrack’s broad appeal.

This year’s soundtrack builds on EA Sports’ tradition of integrating music with gaming, which has been pivotal in launching new artists since 1997. EA’s partnership with Spotify for the third time offers fans easier access to the FC25 playlist, ensuring that music lovers can enjoy the diverse selection.
