Barbadian singer Rihanna has captured the hearts of many Nigerians with her attempt to learn the Yoruba language. A video featuring Rihanna learning to say “I’m fine” in Yoruba at one of her Fenty events has recently gone viral, sparking widespread admiration from fans.

The video, shared by UK-based makeup artist Damilola Adejonwo, also known as Senorfenty, shows Rihanna at a Fenty event where she is taught the Yoruba phrase “Mo wa pa,” which translates to “I’m fine.” Senorfenty, who introduced himself as Nigerian, recorded the moment and posted it on Instagram with a playful caption.

In his post, Senorfenty wrote: “Mo wa pa oooooo!!!!! I was telling Rihanna that I am Nigerian and she has to learn Yoruba, so I taught her mo wa pa which means I am doing well and she wouldn’t stop saying it the entire time. That might be the next single 😂😂😂😂 she is such a vibe.” The video quickly spread across Nigerian social media, eliciting a range of reactions from fans.
