Fireboy thrills fans at historic Royal Albert Hall concert in London
Afrobeats superstar Fireboy DML gave a powerful and unforgettable performance at his sold-out concert at the world-famous Royal Albert Hall in London on April 16, 2025. The show marked a major milestone in his career as he thrilled the crowd with his biggest hits and songs from his latest album, Adedamola.
The concert kicked off Fireboy’s tour for his fourth studio album Adedamola, and fans were excited to see the artist perform live. The show featured opening acts by rising Afrobeats talents Fola and Ayo Maff, who helped set the mood with their energetic performances. Fireboy then took the stage and delivered an amazing set that reminded everyone of his strong stage presence and vocal talent.
Throughout the night, Fireboy performed fan favorites like “Peru,” “Vibration,” “Tattoo,” and several tracks from his Adedamola album. He brought energy, emotions, and connection with the crowd, making the night a memorable one for Afrobeats lovers in London. The audience cheered and sang along, showing just how much his music has touched fans worldwide.
Adedamola, which is named after Fireboy’s real name, features guest appearances from Grammy-nominated musician Seun Kuti and legendary Nigerian saxophonist Lagbaja. The album showcases Fireboy’s growth as an artist and mixes classic Afrobeat sounds with modern music styles.
Fireboy has been a rising star in the global music scene since he dropped his debut album Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps in 2019. His third album Playboy included the international hit song Peru, which became even more popular after a remix with British superstar Ed Sheeran. That version brought Fireboy global fame and made Peru one of the most streamed Afrobeats songs worldwide.
In 2022, Fireboy became the first Afrobeats artist to perform at the main show of the BET Awards. That same year, he also performed Peru with Ed Sheeran at Wembley Stadium, becoming the first Afrobeats act to perform at the 80,000-capacity venue. These achievements have helped him build a strong international following.
After the Royal Albert Hall concert, Fireboy received a special plaque listing the names of global stars who have headlined the venue. He now joins music icons like Wizkid, Adele, Elton John, Rihanna, Frank Sinatra, Ed Sheeran, David Bowie, Jay-Z, and Jimi Hendrix—artists who have all performed at the historic concert hall.
This moment is another big win for Fireboy and for Afrobeats as a genre. His success shows how far African music has come and how it continues to reach new heights globally.
