Timi Dakolo and Victor Thompson to Lead Easter Worship Event Jesus + Nothing in Lagos
Award-winning gospel musicians like Timi Dakolo, Victor Thompson, and many others are set to perform at the first edition of the Jesus + Nothing Worship event this Easter in Lagos. The event is organized by The Love of God in Christ (LOGIC) Church to help worshippers reflect on the message of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.
The worship session will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at The LOGIC Church headquarters in Lekki, Lagos. According to the Lead Pastor, Flourish Peters, the worship is designed to bring people into a space of grace, love, and spiritual connection as they prepare to celebrate Easter.
Pastor Peters explained that the gathering would focus on salvation, love, and highlighting gospel talents within and outside the church. He emphasized that the worship is not a concert but a deep spiritual experience anchored in the message of redemption through Jesus.
Big names like Greatman Takit, Neon Adejo, and Steve Hills will join Dakolo and Thompson on stage. Also performing are SMJ, Lily Perez, Joxie, Mag Psalms, Pastor Victor Paul, and even the Evolution Children’s Choir, among others. The pastor added that these artists will deliver soul-stirring songs inspired by gospel teachings shared in LOGIC Church.
This event is also a prelude to the church’s annual Jesus + Nothing Conference, scheduled to take place from May 28 to June 1, 2025. According to Peters, the worship and conference are part of LOGIC Church’s mission to preach the gospel clearly and powerfully through music and the Word of God.
He revealed plans to partner with a top music streaming platform to create a playlist from the worship experience. This would help share the message with more people, even after the event, as the worship night is expected to become an annual tradition held every Good Friday.
Speaking ahead of the event, Timi Dakolo said, “I am doing this because I love God. He loved me first. The message is clear—it’s a worship, not a concert.” Similarly, Neon Adejo noted that most of the songs at the event were inspired by sermons from Pastor Peters.
Margaret Benson, also known as Mag Psalm, thanked the church for trusting in the artists and the message they bring. Mera Owili encouraged Nigerians to come with open hearts, promising a new and heartfelt way of expressing gratitude to God this Easter.
