Obasanjo Celebrates 88th Birthday With Atiku, Jonathan, Ooni of Ife and Others

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo hosted a grand dinner in Lagos to mark his 88th birthday, bringing together top politicians, business moguls, and royal figures.

The event took place at The Delborough Hotel, Victoria Island, on Sunday, with notable guests including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience, as well as the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi. Former Sierra Leonean leader Ernest Bai Koroma was also in attendance.

Among other prominent figures at the celebration were former Senate President Bukola Saraki and his wife Toyin, Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, and billionaire businessman Razaq Okoya. The business and entertainment world was well represented, with Obi Cubana, E-Money, Cubana Chief Priest, Vintage, and popular musician KCee gracing the occasion. Economic policy expert Obiageli Ezekwesili was also present.

The dinner was one of several events held in Lagos and Abeokuta to celebrate Obasanjo’s milestone. Social media was abuzz with moments from the night as guests arrived in style.

Atiku and Saraki shared highlights from the event online, with Saraki describing it as a prelude to the main birthday celebrations. Posting photos, Atiku wrote, “I joined others at the dinner hosted by my former boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, at The Delborough Hotel, Victoria Island, in Lagos. -AA.”
