Natasha Osawaru Denies Giving 2Baba Diabolical Beads
Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru has responded to allegations that she gave legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, beads infused with juju.
The controversy began after 2Baba’s mother allegedly urged Natasha to leave her son, claiming he was not in his right senses due to their relationship. She also accused Natasha of gifting him spiritual beads, which she believed influenced his behavior.
In an interview with journalist Stella Dimoko Korkus, Natasha dismissed the claims, stating that the beads have no diabolical meaning. She explained that they are traditional royal beads given to her as gifts, with one set representing her heritage from the Igbinedion Royal Family. Another bead, she revealed, was originally given to her grandfather by the late Queen of England when he was knighted.
She clarified, “Those beads were given to me on my birthday. They represent a Princess from a Royal family. On my last birthday, my mum gave me three nice beads called ‘EZENEKA,’ which means ‘River that never runs dry.’ The pearl on his neck was given to me by my grandad, a knight to the Queen of England. They are just traditional beads, not diabolical in any way.”
Natasha further stated that she never forced 2Baba to wear them, as he naturally has a liking for beads and chose to wear them himself.
