2Baba’s Mother Begs Edo Lawmaker Natasha Osawaru to Leave Her Son

2Baba’s mother, Rose Idibia, has pleaded with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru to “free her son” as he goes through his divorce from Annie Idibia.

In a viral video shared on Thursday, she urged Nigerians, especially mothers, to help her beg Osawaru, claiming her son is not in the right state of mind due to the ongoing separation.

“My son is going through a divorce, and he is not himself. I know my son very well. That is not him. Please, Natasha, remove the beads you put on his hand and neck and free him,” she said emotionally.

The plea came shortly after an online video showed 2Baba proposing to Osawaru. In the clip, the singer and the lawmaker were seen dancing before he presented her with a ring, sparking widespread reactions.

The proposal followed 2Baba’s recent confirmation of his relationship with Osawaru. The singer had earlier addressed speculation about their romance, stating that she had no involvement in his marital troubles with Annie.

“Yes, I love her. She is an amazing and brilliant woman who had nothing to do with what happened between me and Annie. I want to marry her,” 2Baba stated.

Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing the Egor Constituency, has faced backlash since the revelation, with some accusing her of being a homewrecker. However, she has yet to respond publicly to the controversy.
