Mohbad’s Wife Speaks on Nurse’s Role in His Death, Says She Can’t Forgive Her
Olawunmi Aloba, the widow of the late singer Mohbad, has opened up about her pain and frustration following his tragic passing, stating that she cannot forgive the nurse who gave him an injection before his death.
Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Aloba, died on September 12, 2023, shocking fans and the Nigerian music industry. Despite multiple investigations and legal proceedings, the exact cause of his death remains unresolved, and his body is yet to be laid to rest.
In a recent interview, Wunmi revealed that the nurse who administered the injection will face an inquest on March 14, 2025, and has shown no sign of remorse since the incident.
“She turned me into a widow. She has been living her life without concern. I still don’t know if what she did was a mistake,” Wunmi said.
She explained that the nurse was brought in because Mohbad’s regular nurse was unavailable, and the recommendation came from someone close to them.
Wunmi, now raising their young son, Liam, alone, expressed sadness that he has not been able to enjoy the innocence of childhood due to the tragedy.
“If I ever see her, I will tell her that she will feel everything I have been through,” she added.
