Mohbad’s Father Questions Paternity of Late Singer’s Son, Insists on DNA Test

Joseph Aloba, father of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad, has raised doubts about the paternity of his grandson, Liam. He insists on conducting a DNA test to confirm whether Liam is Mohbad’s son.

Speaking in an interview with Silverbird TV, Aloba expressed his disappointment over the lack of communication between Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, and their son since the singer’s untimely death. He criticized their absence, stating that they should have reached out to him.

“I’ve not seen Mohbad’s wife and son since his death. They know where I live. They should have brought the child to me and said, ‘This is your grandson,’” Aloba said.

When asked if Liam resembles Mohbad, Aloba responded, “No, no, no. With what I’m seeing, he’s not. If the DNA says he is, it’s acceptable.”

Aloba disclosed that he had requested a DNA test, but the process has been delayed. He expressed frustration over the lack of cooperation, saying, “I demanded DNA; they should have said, ‘Daddy, do it at your convenient time.’ Instead, they’ve been avoiding it. Let the court decide, and I’ll take it from there.”

The grieving father also lamented the estrangement of his other son, Adura, who lived with Mohbad before his death. Aloba revealed that Adura, now 22, has not contacted him since the tragedy.

“Adura is supposed to tell me what happened to his brother. They lived together, but he has distanced himself. It feels like someone is keeping him away from me,” Aloba added.

The paternity dispute and family tensions have drawn public attention, adding another layer of complexity to the aftermath of Mohbad’s passing.

What are your thoughts on Joseph Aloba’s concerns and the ongoing family issues?
