Mohbad’s Widow Wunmi Aloba Challenges Father’s DNA Test Delays in Court

Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi Aloba, has provided a fresh update regarding the ongoing legal battle over her late husband’s son, Liam. According to her legal team, it is Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, who has been responsible for delaying the court-ordered DNA test by making specific demands about the testing facilities.

The dispute arose after Joseph Aloba filed a case seeking to establish the paternity of Liam, Mohbad’s son. Wunmi Aloba, however, alleges that Joseph has been “shifting the goal post”, creating obstacles that have slowed the legal process.

During a recent court hearing, Joseph Aloba requested that the DNA test be conducted at two hospitals of his choice. The court struck out this application, emphasizing that the tests must take place at neutral facilities to ensure fairness. The court further stipulated that neither party should have any interest in the selected hospitals, aiming to prevent bias or conflicts of interest.

This legal matter has attracted considerable public attention since Mohbad’s death, as fans and media outlets have closely followed the developments surrounding the singer’s family and his son’s paternity case.

Wunmi Aloba’s latest statement, shared via her lawyers on Instagram, reframes the narrative, suggesting that any delay in the DNA test is due to procedural disagreements rather than deliberate evasion on her part. The update highlights the complex legal and emotional dynamics that continue to affect Mohbad’s family as they navigate this sensitive issue.

The case remains under close observation, with public interest intensifying as both parties seek to resolve the matter in court.
