Mohbad’s Father Denies Knowing Nurse Who Treated Late Singer
Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has dismissed claims that he had any interaction with the nurse who reportedly treated his son before his death.
His response comes after Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, alleged in an interview with media personality Chudity on February 19 that Aloba was informed about the nurse’s involvement but chose to dismiss the issue.
During a TikTok live session on Tuesday, Aloba refuted the claim, insisting that he had never seen or spoken to the nurse, either in person or online.
“I’ve never set my eyes on the nurse. If I had seen her, it would have been on the internet. We haven’t met physically. The nurse and I never had any conversation at all. I never mentioned the nurse since I started narrating what happened to Mohbad that night. I didn’t see any nurse there; nobody introduced the nurse to me,” Aloba stated.
Beyond the controversy over the nurse, Aloba also expressed concerns about his late son’s properties. He questioned why Mohbad’s assets were placed in his grandson Liam’s name, stating that he had never purchased anything in Mohbad’s name.
“I don’t know how they managed to do that. When he returned from his tour, he told me he had bought two new plots at Elepe in Liam’s name. I do not know the reason for that. As a father to Mohbad, I have never bought anything in Mohbad’s name, but they bought those two plots in Liam’s name,” he said.
Aloba further revealed that the documents for these properties were in Wunmi’s mother’s possession, except for one at Gberigbe, which Mohbad had personally given to him before his passing. According to Aloba, his son had wished to build a church for him as a pastor.
Mohbad had reportedly informed his father that he purchased land through Wunmi’s mother, including two acres at Agbowa and a plot at Elepe, later transferred to Gberigbe.
The ongoing disputes between Mohbad’s family members continue to raise questions about the singer’s legacy and estate, with legal battles and accusations unfolding in the wake of his tragic death.
