Blessing CEO Defends Rita Daniels Over Regina Daniels’ Marriage Issues

Nigerian relationship therapist Blessing CEO, whose real name is Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, has stepped out in support of Rita Daniels, the mother of popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels. Rita Daniels has been heavily criticized by many Nigerians who believe she influenced Regina’s marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko, who is much older and already in a polygamous marriage.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, Blessing CEO said it is wrong for people to blame mothers for the decisions made by their adult children. She explained that once a child becomes grown, they make their own personal choices, and parents do not always have full control.

Blessing CEO argued that many of the same people criticizing Rita Daniels disobeyed their own parents while growing up. She recalled how she herself made decisions her parents did not approve of when she was very young. According to her, Regina, like many others, is responsible for her own choices.

She shared that she once ignored all warnings and got married early despite her parents begging her to wait. She said her father even woke her up in the middle of the night to talk to her, but she still went ahead with her decision. This, she said, shows that young adults often act on their own regardless of advice.

Why is Blessing CEO defending Rita Daniels?
Blessing CEO believes Regina Daniels is an adult who made her own choices, so blaming her mother is unfair and ignores how young adults often ignore guidance from parents.

Blessing CEO also spoke about how Nigerians treat women who speak about their marital challenges. She said people encourage women to “speak up,” but when they actually speak, the same public mocks and shames them. She called this attitude hypocritical.

She added that many young people make mistakes while growing up and that no one has the right to judge another person’s journey. She encouraged Nigerians to be more understanding instead of insulting families online.
