Anthony Joshua Pays Emotional Tribute to Friends Lost in Tragic Car Crash

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, has shared a deeply emotional tribute to two of his close friends who died in a tragic car accident in Nigeria. The boxer took to Instagram to express his pain and remember the lives of Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele, who passed away in the crash.

The accident happened on December 29 in Ogun State. Joshua was reportedly in the vehicle during the incident but survived. His friends, however, lost their lives, leaving the boxing star and their families in deep grief.

In his post, Joshua thanked everyone who has shown love and support to the families of his late friends. He said he only fully realised how special they were after losing them, adding that he often spent time with them without knowing how much they meant to his life.

Joshua wrote that he would walk with them, laugh, and joke, without understanding that God had placed him among great men. His words reflected shock, gratitude, and sadness over the sudden loss of people who meant so much to him.

He also spoke about the pain of the loss, saying it has been very hard for him, but even more difficult for the parents of the deceased. According to him, while he believes he has a strong mind, he understands that no pain compares to that of losing a child.

Joshua added that he believes God knows the hearts of his late friends and prayed for mercy for them. His message showed his faith and hope, even in the middle of deep personal pain.

Earlier, Joshua had also spoken about the incident during an emotional conversation with UFC star Kamaru Usman. He said the deaths of his friends had not fully sunk in, describing how they were seated in the car at the time of the crash.

The boxing star admitted that the reality of the loss still feels unreal to him. Fans and supporters from around the world have continued to send messages of comfort and prayers to Joshua and the families of Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele.
