JAMB Releases Friday and Saturday 2026 UTME Results for Over 1.2 Million Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the results of candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18.

In a statement signed by its spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, the board confirmed that a total of 1,264,940 results from the two examination days have been made available for candidates to access.

The board also noted that it had earlier released results for candidates who wrote the exam on Thursday, April 16, bringing the total number of results released so far to 1,897,692.

According to the statement, candidates can check their results by sending the text “UTMERESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number (SIM) used during registration for the 2026 UTME.

The release follows an earlier delay in publishing the second batch of results, which the board attributed to the unavailability of its Chief Executive due to an official assignment.

The board had previously apologised for the delay, assuring candidates that the remaining results would be released promptly, a promise that has now been fulfilled.

The development comes amid ongoing attention on the conduct of the examination, with JAMB also maintaining that it continues to strengthen its processes to ensure transparency and fairness in the admission system.

Candidates are advised to follow the official guidelines strictly when checking their results to avoid errors or misinformation.
