Nigerian model and socialite Denrele Edun has shared his struggles with love, saying he has often not received the same commitment he gives to his partners.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Moraya Show, Denrele revealed that he has decided to focus on loving himself after repeated disappointments in his relationships.
“I have not really been lucky with love. People like us who have so much love to give to the world, we don’t really get it back in return,” he said. “I have found love in different people and places, but now I have realised it is better to love myself.”
Denrele emphasized that he is not the cause of the problems in his relationships. “I am the easiest person to love. I have so much love to give,” he stated.
He explained that his efforts in relationships are often met with excuses or lack of commitment from his partners. “Recently, I was in a relationship and realised that once I make an effort, people give excuses. While I give clarity, they give confusion. I show commitment, and they do not reciprocate. It seems it is convenient for them,” Denrele added.
In addition to discussing his love life, Denrele also addressed his sexuality, sharing that he has experienced “the best of both worlds.”
