Kemity Reveals Why Her Two Children Have Different Fathers
Nollywood actress Kemisola Apesin, popularly known as Kemity, has bravely shared her life story, explaining why her two children have different fathers. In an emotional chat on the Talk To B podcast with fellow actress Biola Bayo, the Yoruba movie star revealed painful experiences that many people never knew about.
Kemity began by recalling how she became a mother at a young age. She was still in secondary school, preparing for her WAEC exams in SS3, when she got pregnant by her boyfriend, the same man who deflowered her. Even though the news was shocking, her mother, who deeply valued education, encouraged her to stay in school and not give up on her dreams.
“The person I gave birth to my first child for was the one who deflowered me. I was about to write WAEC at the time. My mum loved education, so she insisted all her children must finish school,” she said.
Kemity’s mother supported her through the pregnancy and even allowed her to learn catering after school. She remained in touch with her child’s father, who had travelled abroad, and they had plans to reunite. But tragedy struck when he returned to Nigeria without informing anyone, and was killed during a robbery at a hotel.
“It was someone who called my mum to say he was back. Before we could see him, he was dead. He was robbed. That’s how I became a widow. People don’t know this,” she said.
The actress opened up about the unfair judgments she has received online. She said people often question why she has children with two different men, but they don’t know the heartbreak and pain behind her choices.
“People say, ‘How can she have two children for two different fathers?’ But nobody prays for that. I always say I’m a widow, not divorced, because that’s the truth.”
Later in life, Kemity married another man in court, and they had her second child. At first, they were happy. She supported the family by working as a teacher and doing extra lessons after school. But things changed. Her husband began taking midnight calls and acting suspicious. He claimed the calls were from his boss, but she later discovered he was cheating.
“We were married and living together. I gave birth to our child, and I worked hard to support us. But he started lying, picking late-night calls. I knew it was another woman,” she said.
When the relationship became too toxic, Kemity reached her breaking point and walked away.

Her story has touched many people, especially women who’ve faced similar struggles. By speaking openly about her past, Kemity has inspired others to be strong, to move forward, and to ignore public judgment. Now 38, she continues to raise her children with love and determination, proving that every woman has the right to own her story, no matter what society says.
