Imo Community Laments Farmland Destruction By Herders
The people of Obosa Assa in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State have lamented the incessant destruction of their cash crops by Fulani herdsmen and their cattle. They called on the State Governor, to stop the destruction of cassava, yam, vegetables and other economic cash crops by the herders. The Chairman of the Community Security Committee of Obosa Assa, said the destruction started last year when the herdsmen with their herds ravaged farms in Alaocha and Umuepe kindreds in Obosa Assa community. The chairman stated that they reported the development to the traditional ruler of the community.
