VDM Threatens Legal Action Against Sowore Over Blord Impersonation Dispute

Social media activist VeryDarkMan has fired back at politician Omoyele Sowore over comments related to the ongoing Blord case, warning him against impersonation and threatening legal action.

The disagreement follows Sowore’s public criticism of the detention of crypto entrepreneur Blord, who was reportedly remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre over charges including criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and unauthorised use of VeryDarkMan’s identity.

Omoyele Sowore had openly condemned the detention and pledged to intervene in the matter. However, VeryDarkMan responded on Instagram, expressing dissatisfaction that Sowore did not reach out privately before making public statements.

In his response, VeryDarkMan accused Sowore of using or referencing his identity without permission and warned that any further impersonation could lead to legal consequences.

The activist made it clear that he expects public figures to respect personal identity and communication boundaries, especially in sensitive legal matters. He also indicated that he is prepared to take formal action if the issue continues.

The dispute has drawn attention on social media, highlighting growing tensions between activists and political figures in Nigeria, particularly around high-profile legal cases involving public personalities.

Observers note that the situation could set a precedent for how identity-related disputes are handled online, especially as more public figures become involved in legal and social advocacy.

As the situation unfolds, attention remains on whether Omoyele Sowore will respond publicly or seek a private resolution, and whether any official complaint will be filed regarding the alleged impersonation.
