Uzor Arukwe Responds to Gay Rumours with Love and Support for LGBTQ+ Community

Actor Uzor Arukwe has addressed a surprising rumour circulating online that claimed he was gay. While taken aback by the claim, Arukwe expressed love and acceptance for his gay friends, emphasizing that he deeply cares for them. He clarified, however, that he is not gay himself, but he fully supports the LGBTQ+ community.

In an interview, Arukwe revealed his initial shock at the rumour, especially when it included mention of a supposed boyfriend. He admitted that while he was taken aback, he found it amusing, explaining that such rumours often indicate success in the entertainment industry.

“I was excited as well because I heard when they start saying such things, that means you have ‘blown.’ So, I love a lot of gay friends. I love them,” Arukwe shared. “They are my guys. I am moving up to a girl and they are doing their thing… you know? They are my people. They are both male and female. I love them to death. I have nothing against them whatsoever.”

The actor also made it clear that if he were gay, he would not shy away from being open about it, stating that he would “own it” confidently. “If it is my sexuality, I would own it and I will be one of the hottest around. I will own it with my full chest,” he said.

Despite the rumours, Arukwe’s stance remains one of love, respect, and support for the LGBTQ+ community, while being firm about his own identity. His response highlights his commitment to authenticity and personal integrity, emphasizing that he will not claim something that isn’t true.
