UNILORIN Opens 2025 Post-UTME Registration for First-Choice Candidates

The University of Ilorin has officially announced the opening of its portal for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME screening registration. The school is inviting all prospective students who made UNILORIN their first-choice institution during their UTME or Direct Entry application to begin the registration process. This was made known in a statement released by the university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun.

According to the announcement, the Post-UTME registration began on Monday, July 28, 2025, and it is scheduled to close on Sunday, August 10, 2025. This two-week window is the only opportunity for interested and eligible candidates to complete their application. Any registration after the deadline will not be accepted.

To be eligible for the screening exercise, UTME applicants must have scored at least 180 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Direct Entry candidates who also selected UNILORIN as their first choice are equally invited to participate in the registration process.

The university has made it clear that only candidates who made UNILORIN their first choice are qualified to take part in the Post-UTME or Direct Entry screening. Applicants must carefully follow the instructions on the school’s official portal to avoid errors during registration.

So, how can students register for UNILORIN’s Post-UTME screening?
To register, candidates should visit the University of Ilorin website, where the full registration guidelines are available. All necessary information, including payment details and required documents, can be found on the portal.

UNILORIN’s Post-UTME screening is an important part of its admission process. It allows the university to assess applicants beyond their UTME scores and ensure that the most qualified students are selected. Candidates are advised to double-check their entries before final submission, as mistakes could affect their chances of getting admitted.

As one of Nigeria’s most competitive and respected federal universities, UNILORIN continues to maintain high academic standards. The 2025/2026 admission process is expected to be just as competitive, so prospective students should take this opportunity seriously and complete their registration early.
