The “Somebody’s Son” hitmaker, who is now 45, admitted that despite her fame and success, she is still single. She joked that her inability to find a partner may be because of her very specific requirements when it comes to choosing a man.
Tiwa Savage explained that her ideal husband is a young and wealthy man who owns a private jet and does not have any “baby mama” drama. She stressed that avoiding complicated family issues is a priority for her, as she prefers a drama-free relationship.
“I’m still looking for someone’s son. I don’t have any [partner]. And I think it is because I’m asking for specific things. Maybe I need to narrow my spec down. I’m looking for someone who has a private plane, young; someone who doesn’t have baby mama drama because I can’t deal with that,” she said during the interview.
Tiwa Savage was previously married to her former manager, Tunji Balogun, popularly known as Teebillz. They tied the knot in 2013, but the marriage ended in 2018 after efforts to settle their differences failed.
Their union produced a son, Jamil, who remains a central part of Tiwa’s life. Despite her past experiences, the singer seems optimistic about finding love again, though she admits it might require adjusting her expectations.
