Tems and Burna Boy Make History on U.S. Billboard Hot 100

Nigerian musicians Tems and Burna Boy have made history as the African artists with the most entries on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. This milestone was achieved after both artists featured on J. Cole’s latest album, The Fall-Off.

Tems appeared on the track Bounce Road Blues with Future, debuting at number 34, while Burna Boy featured on Only You, landing at number 78. These placements brought their total Hot 100 entries to eight each, surpassing the previous record held by South African band Seether, which had seven entries.

Tems has also made remarkable progress in 2026, with three Hot 100 entries this year alone. Her hits Raindance featuring Dave, What You Need, and Bounce Road Blues have made her the African artist with the most Billboard entries this year.

Burna Boy continues to solidify his global legacy, becoming the first African artist to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive years. His previous hits include Loved By You (2021), Last Last (2022), Sittin’ On Top Of The World and Talibans II (2023), Just Like Me and We Pray (2024), and WGFT (2025).
