Temitope Osoba Reveals Doctors Said She Might Not Conceive for Five Years After Cancer Diagnosis
Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has opened up about one of the most difficult moments of her cancer journey, revealing how doctors told her she might not be able to conceive for at least five years.
In an emotional interview on Oyinmomo TV, Osoba explained that the medications she was prescribed after her diagnosis could affect her fertility. At 38 years old, the news was devastating for her, as doctors warned that she might have to wait until her 40s before trying for a child.
The actress admitted that the report left her heartbroken, but she chose not to give up. Instead, she rejected the medical prognosis and decided to hold firmly to her faith. She began a journey of prayers and fasting, believing that her case would not end the way it had been described to her.
Osoba shared that alongside her spiritual practices, she continued with her medical treatment and routine hospital visits. Fortunately, her CT scan results later showed that the cancer had not spread, which gave her new hope and strength to keep going.
She went on to undergo a second surgery to remove the remaining tumor, a procedure that marked a major turning point in her recovery. “Hearing that I wouldn’t be able to conceive for five years at my age was very painful, but I chose to trust God instead,” she said. “I combined medical treatment with prayers, and my CT scan later came out clear. The cancer hadn’t spread, and the surgery was successful.”
Her testimony has inspired many of her fans and colleagues, who have praised her courage and resilience in the face of such a heavy challenge. For Osoba, her story is a reminder that faith, determination, and the right medical care can make a difference in the toughest situations.
The actress, who has since returned to the entertainment industry after her recovery, continues to use her platform to encourage others battling health struggles not to lose hope. Her journey shows that even when faced with difficult news, holding on to faith and perseverance can bring positive results.
