Tacha Calls Nigerian Youths the Most Cowardly Generation
Reality TV star Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has spoken out strongly against young Nigerians. She said this generation is not doing enough to help the country grow or solve its problems. Tacha shared her thoughts on social media platform X, where she expressed deep concern about the youth’s lack of courage and action.
Tacha compared today’s young people with those from the past. She said that earlier generations were braver and ready to fight for change, even if it meant risking their lives. According to her, young Nigerians today are not willing to make sacrifices. Instead, they focus on moving abroad, creating content for social media, and living a comfortable life.
She said, “My generation of Nigerians are the dumbest and most cowardly. We blame older leaders for ruining the country, but what are we doing? Former President Buhari joined a coup in his 20s. What are today’s 20-year-olds doing? Just trying to leave the country.”
Tacha added that the present generation has failed the future one. She believes the lack of interest in national issues shows how much young people have turned away from their responsibilities. She stressed that people are more concerned about making jokes online and getting attention rather than taking part in serious national matters.
The former BBNaija housemate also said that she is not pointing fingers at anyone personally but is calling out the entire generation. She explained that even though she is also part of the youth, she tries to speak out and be active in national conversations.
Tacha ended her statement by saying that using her voice and speaking up is her way of contributing to Nigeria. She urged others to think more about how they can help the country rather than only focusing on themselves.
