Spyro Denies Illegal Wealth, Credits Success to Hard Work and Faith
Nigerian singer Spyro has addressed speculations about the source of his wealth, firmly stating that his success comes from legitimate means and his unwavering faith in God.
Taking to his Instagram story, Spyro shared photos of his luxurious mansion and cars, emphasizing that his achievements are evidence of the rewards of serving God. In his post, he encouraged young people to trust in God, stating that his riches come with peace and are the result of honest efforts.
Spyro wrote, “My brothers and sisters, especially to the young folks, these are evidences that serving God truly pays. I didn’t have to do anything illegal to be this blessed, and this kind of riches comes with peace.”
The singer also addressed a recent dispute with talent manager Ubi Franklin, accusing him of scamming him during an event. Speaking on The Link Up podcast, Spyro revealed that Ubi Franklin used Davido’s name to convince him to perform at a birthday party, promising a payment of $5,000.
Spyro recounted how he later discovered that Davido was unaware of the arrangement, labeling the situation as a “broad daylight scam.” He shared his frustration, saying, “Ubi just used Davido’s name. I performed, but when I asked for my money, Ubi admitted that Davido had nothing to do with it. It was all a lie.”
