Seyi Law Dares Tunde Ednut Over Tinubu’s Birthday Call Revelation
Nigerian comedian and staunch APC supporter, Seyi Law, has stirred controversy online after revealing a private interaction between President Bola Tinubu and entertainment blogger Tunde Ednut. The comedian claimed that while some celebrities publicly criticise the current administration, they privately seek attention and favours from the same government.
This comes after a video circulated online showing celebrities Cubana Chief Priest, Davido, and Ubi Franklin visiting President Tinubu at the State House in Abuja. The video sparked mixed reactions, especially from Nigerians who believe the celebrities are aligning with a government many have criticised.
Reacting via his 𝕏 account, Seyi Law pointed fingers at those he believes are being two-faced. He accused public figures of playing to the gallery online while lobbying government officials behind the scenes. Seyi Law singled out Cubana Chief Priest, claiming his visit and similar actions show clear hypocrisy.
He also dropped a bombshell about Tunde Ednut, stating that the President personally called the blogger on his birthday — a gesture that left Tunde thrilled. Seyi Law dared Tunde Ednut to publicly deny the phone call ever happened and even went as far as challenging him to swear on the future of his children if it was untrue.
His post read in part:
“Let TUNDE EDNUT come and deny that he was not excited when Mr. President called him on his birthday… Let him deny it and swear with his future children’s destiny if it didn’t happen.”
Seyi Law further accused these celebrities of hypocrisy, saying they publicly criticise the administration but “hustle behind” for recognition and benefits. He ended his post by calling on divine judgment for what he described as “public pretence and private lobbying.”
