Portable Slams Bella Shmurda Over Collaboration Snub, Calls Him a Failure

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly slammed fellow artist Bella Shmurda after the latter declined a music collaboration during a recent podcast appearance. The clash began when Bella Shmurda, in an interview with comedian Isbae U on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast, stated that he couldn’t see a musical connection between himself and Portable. He also hinted that Portable’s chaotic lifestyle was a red flag, saying, “I don’t want wahala, I want peace.”

The comment didn’t sit well with Portable, who quickly responded in a heated Instagram video. He branded Bella Shmurda a failure and made it clear he would never associate musically with someone he considered beneath his level of success. According to Portable, he only collaborates with successful people and claimed Bella doesn’t qualify.

Fuming in the video, Portable said, “Anytime you wan do interview, don’t mention my name again. You can’t feature me? I’ve been to America, London. No be who first blow o, na who dey blow dey go.”

This outburst is the latest in a series of dramatic moments involving Portable, who is well-known for his unfiltered opinions and social media rants. While Bella Shmurda has not responded further, the tension between both artists has stirred reactions online, with fans taking sides and debating the value of both musicians in Nigeria’s fast-growing music scene.

The ongoing spat has added fuel to the competitive fire in the entertainment industry, highlighting once again how quickly differences in musical styles and personalities can escalate into public feuds.
