Portable Rejects ₦1 Million Gift from Blord, Demands Car or ₦1 Billion Instead

Nigerian street-hop singer Portable has once again stirred reactions online after rejecting a ₦1 million gift promised to him by popular crypto entrepreneur Blord, insisting that he deserves something much bigger — either a car or ₦1 billion.

In a viral video circulating across social media, the controversial singer expressed gratitude to Blord for promoting his song dedicated to social critic VeryDarkMan, but he quickly made it clear that money alone was not enough. “Blord, God bless you for promoting my song, but give me a car. I’m more than ₦1 million. Give me a car and you’ll be more famous. I support you,” Portable said with his usual flair.

The singer, known for his dramatic outbursts and unpredictable personality, argued that a car or ₦1 billion would be a more fitting reward for his talent and fame. He claimed such a gesture would not only show appreciation but also boost Blord’s popularity even more.

Blord, whose real name is Linus Williams Ifejika, had earlier pledged to give Portable ₦1 million for his public shout-out. However, Portable dismissed the gesture as “too small” and told Blord to “add weight” to the gift. “Give me one billion, I will appreciate you. I’m bigger than one million,” he declared in the trending video.

The clip, which quickly spread across X (Twitter) and Instagram, showed Portable mixing humor and boldness as he pleaded dramatically while making jokes. His antics once again divided fans, with some finding his comments hilarious and others calling him entitled.

Social media reactions came swiftly. One user joked, “You never even see the ₦1 million and you’re already asking for ₦1 billion.” Another wrote, “Portable always finds a way to turn every situation into a movie.” Some fans, however, suggested that the singer’s statements were all part of his usual strategy to stay in the spotlight and attract attention.

Despite the backlash, Portable’s demand has kept him trending once again, proving his unmatched ability to spark conversations online. Whether serious or playful, his constant drama continues to feed his brand as one of Nigeria’s most talked-about entertainers.
