Phyno Slams Journalist Over False Claims About His Estate and Views on Igbos Investing in Lagos
Nigerian rapper Phyno has strongly refuted claims made by a journalist accusing him of selling his ₦10 billion estate in Lagos to an Arab businessman and warning Igbos not to invest in the city.
The journalist, known by the X handle JustSociety4All, alleged that Phyno stated it was a mistake to invest in Yoruba land, where he felt the Igbo people were unwelcome. The post also claimed that Phyno was relocating his estate to Enugu, where he believed his people would better utilize it.
Phyno wasted no time in debunking these accusations, calling the journalist a “fool” for spreading false information. In his response, Phyno wrote, “You are a fool for cooking up this type of lie!!! Where are you heading with this? Anwu nta.” His fiery response sparked reactions from fans, many supporting the rapper and condemning the spread of misinformation.
Phyno also took the opportunity to reflect on the challenges of balancing music with personal life. In a recent podcast, he discussed the difficulties of maintaining a marriage while pursuing a demanding music career. He even noted that many celebrity marriages often fail due to the industry’s pressures.
