PDP Registers Over 4.2 Million Members Through Digital Platform Nationwide

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that it has successfully registered over 4.2 million members through its ongoing digital membership exercise across Nigeria.

Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, described the exercise as both challenging and successful. He noted that despite the tight timeline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the party was able to deploy an effective digital system nationwide.

According to him, as of March 31, 2026, a total of 4,264,675 members had been registered on the party’s official portal. He added that the actual number of PDP supporters may be higher, as many Nigerians continue to show loyalty to the party despite recent political challenges.

Ini Ememobong stated that the registration process involved mobilising volunteers and reaching communities across both rural and urban areas. He emphasized that the turnout reflects strong public confidence in the Peoples Democratic Party.

A breakdown of the registration data shows an average of 24 members per polling unit and about 484 members per ward across the country’s 8,809 wards in 774 local government areas.
