Osimhen’s Move to Galatasaray Delayed Over Payment Issues

Victor Osimhen’s move from Napoli to Galatasaray is still not done because both clubs cannot agree on how the payment should be made. Although they agreed on the €75 million release clause, the payment plan is causing problems.

Osimhen has said yes to a full-time move to Turkey after a successful loan season at Galatasaray, where he scored 37 goals and made 8 assists in 41 games. But the clubs are yet to agree on how the money will be paid.

Galatasaray offered to pay €40 million now and the rest in two parts of €17.5 million each. Napoli agreed in principle but wants stronger bank guarantees before finalizing the deal.

Football expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that fresh talks are ongoing. He said Napoli wants better payment terms because of past issues with Galatasaray over unpaid transfer fees for Goran Pandev and Blerim Dzemaili in 2014.

Last week, Napoli paused the talks after Galatasaray failed to provide a trusted letter from the bank. This has made the transfer slower than expected.

Osimhen has already refused to return to Napoli and also turned down offers from Saudi Arabia. He wants to stay in Turkey and continue with Galatasaray.

If Galatasaray can provide the guarantees Napoli wants, the deal could be done soon. But if not, Napoli may start talking to other clubs about selling the player.
