Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci Becomes Three-Time Guinness World Record Holder

Nigerian celebrity chef, Hilda Baci, has officially become a three-time Guinness World Record holder after her remarkable feats in 2023 and 2025. The award comes after she set records for the largest pot of jollof rice and the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.

Baci first rose to global fame in 2023 for completing the longest individual cooking marathon, lasting an astonishing 93 hours and 11 minutes. She continued her streak in 2025 when she broke two more records for serving the world’s largest portion of Nigerian-style jollof rice.

On September 15, 2025, Guinness World Records verified that Baci’s massive 8,780-kilogram pot of jollof rice could feed over 16,600 people, cementing her place in culinary history.

Taking to social media to share the news, Baci revealed that she had recently learned that her achievement on the day of the record had actually broken two separate records: the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice and the largest serving of rice overall. This discovery officially made her a three-time Guinness World Record holder.

“Woke up a three-time Guinness World Records holder and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. Five months after the initial record announcement, I found out there was more,” Baci wrote.

She expressed gratitude to her team, particularly @oreoluwa_atinmo, for their collaboration in executing the record-breaking event, as well as to Guinness World Records and her supporters. “Honestly, God is faithful. To my incredible team, this is our win. Every long day, detail, and push mattered,” she added.

Baci’s latest accomplishment is a testament to her skill, determination, and creativity, reinforcing her position as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated chefs and a global ambassador of Nigerian cuisine.
