Nigeria Immigration Service Recruitment 2025 Begins for Interested Applicants
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has officially announced the start of its 2025 recruitment exercise, inviting qualified candidates to apply through the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
As a critical government agency responsible for border security and migration management, the NIS plays a vital role in national safety and the control of people movement in and out of Nigeria. The service, which was created in 1963, now operates under the Immigration Act of 2015, which empowers it to tackle the smuggling of migrants (SOM) and enforce modern immigration laws.
The recruitment exercise is open to individuals who meet specific educational requirements. Applicants must possess either:
- A GCE Ordinary Level, SSCE/NECO, or any equivalent certificate with a minimum of four (4) credits obtained in not more than two sittings; or
- A Trade Test Grade III certificate in areas like Motor Driver Mechanics or Auto Electricians.
Interested applicants are encouraged to visit the official CDCFIB recruitment portal to explore the list of available positions and submit their applications. The recruitment aims to fill various roles across the immigration service, ensuring the agency is well-equipped to meet the growing demands of modern migration management.
Candidates are advised to apply early and ensure all submitted documents are authentic and complete. This recruitment presents an opportunity for qualified Nigerians to join a respected federal agency and contribute to national security and migration control.
