Makinde Reshuffles Cabinet and Moves Five Oyo Commissioners

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has changed the positions of five commissioners in his cabinet. This cabinet reshuffle was announced on Monday in Ibadan. The news came through a statement signed by the Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, and shared by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

In the new changes, Seun Ashamu, who was the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, has been moved to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. He will now lead efforts in environmental planning and natural resource management across the state.

Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, who was in charge of the Ministry of Environment, has been posted to the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure, and Transport. He will now handle roads, bridges, and other public projects in Oyo State.

Dahud Shangodoyin, the former Commissioner for Public Works, will now take over the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry. His new duty will involve managing energy development and mineral exploration for the state.

Also, Solihu Adelabu, the Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, will now serve as the Commissioner for Establishments and Training. His job will now focus on government workforce development and capacity building.

Segun Olayiwola, who was previously in charge of the Ministry of Establishments, will take over the Education, Science, and Technology Ministry. He is expected to bring new ideas to improve education in the state.

Governor Makinde said the changes take effect immediately. He asked all the affected commissioners to remain loyal and committed to their new roles.

This reshuffle is part of the governor’s plan to improve how the state is run. It is aimed at boosting the performance of his team and bringing better service to the people of Oyo State.
