Hollywood mourns the passing of veteran American actor Robert Duvall, who died peacefully at the age of 95. His wife, Luciana Duvall, shared the news on his official Facebook page, describing him as her beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of his time.

“Yesterday, we said goodbye to my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time. Bob passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort,” Mrs. Duvall wrote. She added that to the world, Duvall was an Academy Award-winning actor, director, and storyteller, but to her, he was everything, with a passion for his craft matched only by his love for characters, fine meals, and meaningful conversations.

Born in 1931, Robert Duvall trained at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, where he studied alongside future stars Dustin Hoffman and Gene Hackman. He began his career on stage and television in the late 1950s, gaining early recognition for his role as Boo Radley in To Kill a Mockingbird.
