Gaise Baba’s No Turning Back II Becomes Nigeria’s Most-Viewed YouTube Music Video in 2025
Gospel artist Gaise Baba, real name Akinade Ibuoye, has made history with his hit song “No Turning Back II”, featuring Pastor Lawrence Oyor, becoming Nigeria’s most-watched music video on YouTube in 2025.
The worship anthem was released on May 16, 2025, and quickly captured the attention of the Christian music community before crossing over into mainstream popularity. In just six months, the video accumulated over 41 million views, 397,000 likes, and more than 22,000 comments, solidifying its place as Nigeria’s biggest YouTube music release of the year.
Gaise Baba expressed his gratitude in response to YouTube’s Instagram announcement, thanking his collaborators and the church community that supported the project. He wrote, “Big shout-out to Pastor Lawrence Oyor and that warrior congregation of David Generation Church. See what the Lord has done with our simple obedience. Of a truth, we shift the culture.”
Other notable music videos on the 2025 year-end chart include Shallipopi’s “Laho”, which ranked second, and Davido and Omah Lay’s “With You”, which placed third.
In the creators’ category, Omoni Oboli TV was named Nigeria’s Top Creator Channel for 2025. She was followed by Ibrahim Yekini’s Itelediconstudio and filmmaker Uchenna Mbunabo’s Uchenna Mbunabo TV. Other top creator channels included Saira Movies, Maurice Sam TV, RuthKadiri247, APATATV+, Uche Montana TV, Sonia Uche TV, and Brain Jotter.
