Eniola Badmus Urges Nigerians to Support Local Brands
Popular Nollywood actress and public figure Eniola Badmus has called on Nigerians to show more support for local brands, particularly in the fashion industry. Taking to her Instagram page, Eniola proudly showcased a stylish outfit by Nigerian fashion label @beunique_wears, expressing her love for the design and encouraging her followers to patronise homegrown talent.
“It’s about time we start supporting our Naija brands,” she wrote. “@beunique_wears made this beautiful outfit, and I love it so much. My people, kindly patronise @beunique_wears and thank me later. @beunique_wears to the world!”
This isn’t the first time Eniola has used her platform to promote national pride. A few weeks earlier, she had urged Nigerians to embrace unity, pride, and purpose, sharing empowering photos from her office in Abuja. She reminded citizens that the power to shape Nigeria’s future lies in their hands.
Eniola Badmus was appointed in May 2024 as the Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Social Events and Public Hearings, following her strong support for President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 elections. Upon receiving the appointment, she thanked Speaker Tajudeen Abbas for the opportunity to serve under his leadership.
She officially resumed duty in July, sharing photos from her meeting with Senate President Godswill Akpabio at the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS). Her involvement in national politics has been recognized beyond her appointment.
Seyi Tinubu, son of President Tinubu, presented Eniola with an appreciation award in recognition of her contribution to the success of the Renewed Hope Concert. She also received another award from the APC Youth Stakeholders Forum, which she dedicated to young Nigerians who stood by the Renewed Hope agenda despite facing criticism.
Eniola’s advocacy for Nigerian brands reflects her broader commitment to national growth and self-reliance. Her growing influence in both entertainment and governance highlights her unique position as a bridge between culture, politics, and youth engagement.
