Eniola Ajao Clears the Air on Bobrisky’s Arrest and Denies Involvement
Nollywood actress and producer Eniola Ajao has publicly addressed claims linking her to the arrest of popular crossdresser Idris Okunneye, also known as Bobrisky. This comes after Bobrisky suggested that his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2024 stemmed from receiving the ‘Best Dressed Female’ award at Eniola’s movie premiere.
Bobrisky, who was later sentenced to six months in prison for naira abuse during the event, had hinted in a social media post after his release that his troubles began after accepting the award. However, in a recent interview on Oyinmomotv via YouTube, Eniola dismissed the idea that she had anything to do with the arrest, stating clearly that Bobrisky knew the real reasons behind it.
According to Eniola, “Bob knew why he was arrested. But one cannot be coming to social media every time to give explanations because they won’t believe you. Social media users are one-way traffic; it’s what they want to believe that they will believe no matter your explanation.”
She further emphasized that she has no issues with Bobrisky and that she regularly visited him in prison, showing support throughout his ordeal. She added that their relationship remains intact and she would never turn her back on him.
Eniola went on to say, “There’s no way I can abandon him in that situation, it’s only a wicked person that can do that. He was arrested over a lot of things.”
Fans and followers have now taken to social media to react to her clarification, with many commending her for standing by Bobrisky despite the controversy. Her statement seems to shed light on the situation, pointing out that the EFCC’s arrest was likely based on a broader set of issues rather than the fashion award alone.Eniola Ajao denies Bobrisky arrest claims
