Dayo Amusa Becomes National Vice President of Actors Guild of Nigeria
Nollywood actress and film producer Dayo Amusa has been elected as the National Vice President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). The election took place at the recently concluded AGN national election in Benin City, Edo State.
Speaking after her election, Dayo Amusa described her new role as a recognition of her dedication, leadership, and commitment to the growth and integrity of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. A press statement from her media office on Monday, December 8, 2025, highlighted her promise to bring creativity and administrative excellence to the guild.
“This achievement reflects the trust and confidence members of the guild have placed in me. I am certain that my creativity and administrative excellence will bring renewed strength to the Secretariat and elevate the guild’s operational standards,” she said.
Dayo Amusa, who has featured in numerous films and produced several others, including the popular Yoruba movie Dewunmi Iberu, pledged to use her office to promote the interests of Nigerian actors and actresses. She emphasized that the Nigerian movie industry should take its rightful place in national development.
In addition to her AGN role, Dayo currently serves as Vice President of the Ijebu Pride Network, an initiative that brings together Ijebu’s brightest stars in the entertainment industry. The network celebrates the culture, heritage, and achievements of Ijebuland in Ogun State while promoting the history and ancestry of both Ijebuland and Remoland. The initiative was founded by Bashorun Femi Branch, who serves as President, with Dayo Amusa as Vice President.
Widely regarded as a successful and inspiring actress, Dayo Amusa has consistently used her talent to motivate upcoming actors and actresses across Nigeria.
