In a recent interview with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Rubbin Minds, Chiefpriest opened up about the tension between him and Burna Boy, attributing it to jealousy.
According to Cubana Chiefpriest, Burna Boy’s jealousy stems from his close relationship with Nigerian music superstar Davido. Chiefpriest explained that Burna Boy wanted him by his side, but he chose to work with Davido instead. He emphasized that his bond with Davido had nothing to do with Burna Boy, stating, “My whole issue with Burna Boy started because he was jealous of my relationship with Davido. He wanted CP by his side, but I chose to work with Davido. Me and Davido have never discussed anything about Burna Boy.”
Chiefpriest also clarified that Davido is not the type to focus on his colleagues in the industry. He said, “Davido isn’t the kind of person who would use his time to discuss his colleagues. It’s always them imagining things and trying to drag us.”
