Charly Boy Warns of Violence in 2027 if Election Rigging Persists
Veteran entertainer and activist Charly Boy, popularly known as Area Fada, has issued a strong and controversial warning ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, saying that if vote rigging continues, the country may face serious unrest.
In a candid interview with content creator Jay On-Air, Charly Boy didn’t hold back his frustration, stating, “I’m hoping to see ‘rig and die’ come 2027. Blood will flow. Before it gets better, it will get worse.” His comments have since gone viral, sparking widespread reactions online.
According to the outspoken activist, the continuous tolerance of electoral fraud and political manipulation is destroying democracy in Nigeria. He called on Nigerians to defend their votes and demand accountability from those in power.
Charly Boy also criticized the current administration under President Bola Tinubu, accusing it of taking corruption to a new level. He said, “What we have now is corruption on steroids. It’s ten times worse than what happened during the last administration.”
He stressed that Nigeria’s challenges are not about ethnicity or religion, but rather a systemic problem fueled by greedy political elites. “Corruption doesn’t wear Igbo, Hausa, or Yoruba face. The political class has weaponized ethnicity to divide us while they continue to loot,” he said.
This warning comes against the backdrop of the controversial 2023 elections, which were widely criticized for logistical failures, violence, and allegations of rigging. Many Nigerians lost faith in the electoral process, raising fears about what could happen in future polls.
Charly Boy believes that if citizens continue to stay silent or accept fraudulent results, Nigeria’s suffering will only deepen. He urged the public to stand firm, protect their votes, and hold leaders accountable in the next election cycle.
As the countdown to 2027 begins, Charly Boy’s message is clear: if electoral injustice is not addressed, Nigerians must be ready to resist and demand change, no matter the cost.
