Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has sparked concern after revealing he is facing death threats from unnamed individuals in the music industry. In a post shared on 𝕏 (formerly Twitter), the 29-year-old artist expressed deep concern over his safety while also hinting at an early exit from the industry.
Blaqbonez praised fellow artist Olamide for maintaining a successful music career for over 15 years. While many musicians aspire to that level of longevity, Blaqbonez said it is not something he can handle. “Me I no fit do 15 years o, the one wey una see, u go take,” he wrote, applauding Olamide as a “real Everlasting Taker.”
His remarks alarmed fans, with one user responding, “I no understand, no kpai o. Abeg.” The rapper replied with an even more worrying update, saying, “Them say them go kill me, but I don record enough for 3 more albums, no fear, because rap actually hard for some people.”
