Blaqbonez Denies Cyber Harassment Allegations, Says Petition Was Planned by Industry Rival
Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has denied allegations accusing him of cyber harassment, blackmail, and invasion of privacy. The claims were reported to have been made in a petition submitted by solicitors of a woman identified as “Jane Doe.” The petition alleged that the rapper targeted her after she refused his romantic advances.
Blaqbonez responded to the accusations on Monday night through a post on X, where he described the claims as false and malicious. He said the situation is part of a deliberate attempt to damage his reputation, adding that someone within the music industry has been targeting him for months. According to him, the petition did not originate from the woman alone but was influenced by an unnamed rival artist.
He explained that he has endured various forms of harassment, both online and offline, including bullying and physical attacks. Blaqbonez said he initially chose to remain silent, hoping the truth would reveal itself in time. However, he stated that the allegations have now reached a level that requires him to publicly defend himself to prevent false narratives from spreading.
The rapper further clarified that the matter being referenced was from a past relationship that ended peacefully. He noted that what was once a private issue has now been turned into a tool for revenge and personal rivalry in the entertainment industry. He said the situation was intentionally twisted to make him appear guilty of actions he did not commit.
Blaqbonez expressed disappointment over how personal disagreements are sometimes manipulated for public drama. He said the allegations have caused emotional stress to him, his family, and his team. He added that the negative attention has affected his career and public image, which he has worked hard to build.
Despite the controversy, Blaqbonez confirmed that he is cooperating fully with authorities to clear his name. He stated that he is also working closely with his legal team to take action against what he described as harassment and defamation. He assured fans that he has nothing to hide and is confident that the truth will be revealed soon.
He also used the opportunity to speak on the dangers of false accusations and online bullying. According to him, false claims can destroy lives and damage reputations in ways that are sometimes irreversible. He urged the public to be cautious about spreading unverified information, especially on social media platforms.
Blaqbonez reassured his supporters that he remains focused on his music and personal growth. He said he will not allow negativity or disputes within the industry to distract him from his career and purpose.
