Asisat Oshoala has recovered from Covid-19. Barcelona Femeni posted a picture of the Nigerian striker training after recovering from the virus. She has also received her African Player of the Year trophy, more than a year after she won the award in January 2020.

Oshoala is a 4-time African footballer of the year, having won the award in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019.
