Alexander-Arnold signs six-year deal with Real Madrid
Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of England defender Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool on a six-year deal. The 26-year-old will join the Spanish club from June 1, 2025, through to June 30, 2031.
In an official statement, Real Madrid said, “Real Madrid C.F. and Liverpool FC have reached an agreement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who will be linked to our club for the next six seasons.”
Alexander-Arnold leaves Liverpool after a highly successful career at Anfield, where he won nine major trophies, including the UEFA Champions League, Premier League titles, and the FIFA Club World Cup. A Liverpool academy graduate, he made his England senior debut in 2018 and has represented the national team in the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups, plus UEFA Euro 2024.
He has earned numerous individual accolades, such as selection in the FIFA FIFPro World 11 in 2020, twice being named in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season, and three Premier League Team of the Season nods. He was also Premier League Young Player of the Season in 2019/20.
Alexander-Arnold is expected to play for Real Madrid at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States starting June 14.
