ADC Vows to Take Power from APC in 2027 Imo Election
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) says it is fully ready to remove the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from power in Imo State during the 2027 general election.
This promise was made by Chilos Godsent, the National Vice Chairman (South East) of the ADC. He spoke at a major party event in Owerri titled “Operation Power Must Change Hand 2027 in Imo State.”
Chilos explained that the party would lead a peaceful political movement aimed at defeating what he described as a “repressive and exploitative” APC government in the state. He said the people of Imo have suffered under the current administration for the past five years and deserve real change.
“We are preparing for a ballot revolution,” Chilos declared. “The people of Imo must rise up in 2027 to vote out this reactionary government that has brought hardship and pain.”
The meeting was attended by over 300 ADC members, including people who recently left other political parties to join ADC. Many speakers at the event strongly criticized the current Imo State government for violating citizens’ rights and worsening economic problems in the state.
They described the APC government as being careless with power and ignoring the basic needs of the people, which has led to rising hardship, insecurity, and poor governance.
As the 2027 election approaches, the ADC hopes to grow its support across Imo State and position itself as a true alternative to the ruling APC.
